Therapy Approach
In our sessions, you’ll find a safe and affirming space where your emotions, thoughts, and experiences can be explored with curiosity and compassion. Our work may focus on immediate struggles such as unhelpful thinking, self-blame, perfectionism, or burnout, as well as deeper themes like attachment wounds, relational trauma, identity exploration, internalized oppression, and feelings of unworthiness or disconnection. Therapy is a place to make sense of what’s been overwhelming, reconnect with your inner strength, and begin healing from the inside out.
Whether we’re challenging unhelpful patterns or deepening self-connection and compassion, you’ll be supported every step of the way. We’ll move at your pace, revisiting difficult experiences with care while strengthening your ability to manage emotions, set boundaries, and nurture self-trust.
Grounded in a humanistic and relational perspective, I see therapy as a collaborative process. My approach combines EFT, ACT, CBT, and DBT, allowing me to tailor support based on what best fits each person’s goals. Meanwhile, I'm a chameleon, flexibly integrate different techniques, such as chair work, guided imagery, or structured CBT/DBT strategies, to meet you where you are. My style blends 60% non-directive and 40% directive approaches, allowing sessions to flow naturally between open exploration and gentle guidance.
For many of my BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients, therapy also becomes a space to process cultural and systemic stressors, such as navigating multiple identities, code-switching, intergenerational expectations, racial or gender-based trauma, and the ongoing work of self-acceptance in a world that hasn’t always made room for authenticity.
I have experience supporting clients with ADHD and those who feel emotionally overstimulated or misunderstood in fast-paced environments. Together, we’ll decode the messages behind your thoughts and emotions, using tools from various modalities to help you regulate, make meaning, and move forward with clarity.
You can expect our work to be warm, validating, and empowering, with space for both lightness and laughter, as well as the deeper, sometimes challenging moments that lead to real breakthroughs.
